Why choose Jatoba decking?

  • Exceptionally durable.a very dense, high-strength hardwood built for a long outdoor life.
  • Striking colour, deep reddish-brown ("Brazilian Cherry") that complements brick and stone.
  • Low maintenance,hard-wearing; oil only to keep the rich tone.
  • Premium & sustainable,FSC certified.

How Jatoba weathers & finishing

Left untreated, Jatoba silvers to grey, durability unaffected. To keep its rich red-brown colour, use a decking oil after the boards have seasoned and mill glaze is removed, then re-coat as the colour fades. Clean back greyed timber with Net-Trol before re-oiling.

Sizes, profiles & fixing

We stock Jatoba in smooth and grooved (hidden-fix) profiles. As a very dense hardwood it must be pre-drilled, use the Spax step drill with stainless steel decking screws, or the grooved boards with Deckwise hidden fixings for a clean, fixing-free deck. Build on a well-drained, ventilated sub-frame.
