Woodworking
- Attachment of counter-battens and wood based panels (e.g. suction-proof fastening of roof battens)
Constructing stairways

Special properties

A = Wide overlying washer head

B = WIROX P3J: The surface with extremely high protection against corrosion

C = SPAX 4CUT cutter (For screw lengths of 160 mm and larger): significantly reduces the screwing in torque

D = Partial thread; firm tightening of the upper wood layer

E = Spax T-Star plus; secure bit grip, no cam-out effect, optimal force transmission

Features

Spax 4Cut point; allows screwing in without pre-drilling (wood-dependent), reduces splitting as square end displaces the fibres

Spax ground serrations; up to the point – quick and secure fastening
Application

The non-threaded part must completely reach through the upper component. The washer head then pulls the upper component tighter to the lower component with each thread rotation.

Advantages of a washer head compared to a contersunk head:

Better tightening of connections. Easy bolting of steel parts and sheet metal to wood.

Washer Head allows higher beam supporting forces.

Further advantage:
Also narrow and thin wood cross-sections can be bolted with 6 mm Ø thread.
