When working with softwoods with increased stability like Western Red Cedar and Thermo Ayous, stainless steel lost head nails and Paslode stainless steel brads are ideal for optimal installation, but we have found some customers prefer to use Spax stainless steel façade screws. For softwoods prone to a bit more movement like Siberian Larch, we recommend using either the 4.5 x 45mm or 4.5 x 50mm Spax stainless steel façade screws at regular fixing points for a more secure hold of the timber.
